CORTLAND, N.Y.- The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) will kick off preliminary rounds of championship play this weekend and continue with semifinal and final games into next week. This tournament-style playoff action will include men's and women's soccer, volleyball, and field hockey.
Women's Soccer First Round- October 29
On Saturday, October 29, Plattsburgh (10-8-0) will host Oswego (7-5-4) at 1 p.m. The victor travel to play Buffalo State on November 2. Oneonta (9-5-4) will take on Brockport (8-5-2) at home at 1 p.m. with the winner facing Geneseo (8-2-5) on Wednesday, November 2 in Geneseo.

Men's Soccer First Round- October 29
Men's action also starts on October 29, when Fredonia (11-6-1) will host Plattsburgh (12-5-1) at 1 p.m. The winner will go on to face Oneonta (13-4-1) on November 2. The second matchup, taking place in Buffalo at 3 p.m., will feature Buffalo State (10-6-1) and. New Paltz (8-3-7). The winner of that game will travel to play Cortland (15-2-0) on November 2.

Volleyball First Round- November 1
The preliminary volleyball matchups, both beginning at 6 p.m., will feature New Paltz (16-10) hosting Oswego (14-13) and Fredonia (18-10) hosting Geneseo (15-12). The winners will match up with Oneonta (13-15) and Brockport respectiviely, Novermber 4 in Brockport.

The two matchups, both taking place at 2 p.m., will be Oneonta (4-10) at Cortland (13-3) and Geneseo (9-8) at New Paltz (9-7). The winners will face each other in the championship on Saturday, November 5.
