CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) uses social media to promote and share upcoming, recent or live events as well as game results, news, feature stories, and more from our conference members. As one of the fastest growing social media platforms, Snapchat allows us to do all the above in a different, less formal and live way by having a team in the SUNYAC participate in a "Team Takeover".
The "Team Takeover" will be used to cover and share live content to the conference's Snapchat account regarding the team's game day routine such as the bus trips, pre-game warm-ups, videos and updates from the game as well as post-game interviews. Doing this allows the conference to work with the school and the team in an effort to share a more personal perspective of the student athletes to our followers.
This week our Snapchat account will feature the first "Team Takeover" of the year when Buffalo State women's soccer team hits the road to face Fredonia on Saturday, September 30 at 1 p.m.
