Feature Friday: The Binghamton Tennis Center

CORTLAND, N.Y. - With the 2017 SUNYAC women's tennis SUNYAC Championship a week away, we have decided to feature the host site, the Binghamton Tennis Center.

Re-established in 1983, the tennis facility was founded in 1966 as part of the Highland Racquet and Riding Club and was a host site for the original "Masters" tennis tournament where tennis legends such as Billy Jean King and Pancho Gonzales graced the courts.

The current tennis center has six indoor courts, eight outdoor courts, a pool, and basketball courts. The facility also boasts locker room areas for the athletes and a great viewing area upstairs for spectators.

From October 14-16, the Binghamton Tennis Center will be hosting the SUNYAC women's tennis tournament for it's sixth consecutive year, all of which have been won by Geneseo. The Knights captured their tenth SUNYAC women's tennis title last year, but with the rest of the conference as strong as ever, the top spot is open for the taking.
