Geneseo takes three on first day of SUNYAC swimming and diving championships

BUFFALO, N.Y. - Geneseo took the crown in both the men's and women's 800 meter freestyle relays and the men's 3-meter dive on day one of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's and women's swimming and diving championships at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center.

Geneseo men broke the SUNYAC meet record to take the title in the 800 meter freestyle relay in a time of 6:51.59. The team was comprised of Jeff Doser, Matthew Modelewski, Harry Harkins and Mitchell Phelps. The women's team of Sydney Ng, Alida Mooney, Rachel Wallisky and Nancy Nasky touched the wall for the Knigths in 7:41.44 to take first place. 

Samuel Randall won the 3-meter dive with a score of 584.70 while Christian Krasnek of Fredonia and Justin Moser of Buffalo State finished second and third respectively.

The SUNYAC swimming and diving championship continues Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
