Five SUNYAC Teams are currently Nationally Ranked

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) is proud to announce that the conference currently has five different teams ranked nationally in their respective sport.

Men's Ice Hockey 

No. 2/2 Geneseo - Ranked No. 2 by both D3hockey.com and USCHO.com, the Knights are currently 11-1-1 overall and 6-1-1 in the SUNYAC. Junior Conlan Keenan currently leads all of Division III with 25 points. Geneseo are the reigning SUNYAC champions and have won two out of the last three SUNYAC titles.

No. 9/8 Oswego - Ranked No. 9 by D3hockey.com and No. 8 by USCHO.com, Oswego has started the season with a 5-2-0 record overall and a 3-2-0 SUNYAC record. Oswego are the best Power Play team in the nation, scoring on 11 of 35 (.314) Power Plays. Oswego finished last regular season as the No. 1 seed in the SUNYAC but were upset in the Semifinals. 

No. 14/14 Fredonia - The Blue Devils are ranked No. 14 by both D3hockey.com and USCHO.com, they have a record of 8-1-1 and a SUNYAC record of 5-1-0. Last season Fredonia advanced to the SUNYAC championship game as the No. 5 seed but were defeated by Geneseo.

Men's Basketball

No. 10 Plattsburgh - Currently ranked No. 10 by D3hoops.com, Plattsburgh has started the season with a record of 7-0 overall and 2-0 in the SUNYAC. The Cardinals are the defending SUNYAC champions and are looking for the programs eighth SUNYAC title.

Women's Basketball

No. 20 Geneseo - The Knights are currently ranked No. 20 by D3hoops.com. This season they have a record of 8-0 overall and a 2-0 SUNYAC record. Geneseo defeated Oneonta in the SUNYAC championship last season and will be looking for their sixth SUNYAC championship.
