Swimming and Diving Championships - Day 2

RESULTS

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's and women's swimming and diving championships continued Thursday at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo. After seven events each, both the Geneseo men and women lead with team scores of 341 and 434 respectively.


Record Breakers

Geneseo women broke the meet and conference records in the 200 free relay touching the wall in 1:34.90. The team was made up of Noelle Staso, Maddie Knight, Kelly Lennon and Deidra Osula.

Geneseo's Lauren Siegel broke a ten-year old meet and conference record in the 200 individual medley bettering it by .01 (2:05.40).

Deidra Osula from Geneseo broke both the meet and conference records in the 50 freestyle touching the wall in :23.35.


The Buffalo Niagara Sports Commission Director of Sport Sales, Chuck Giglia, presented the conference with a check to show their continued and generous support of the SUNYAC swimming and diving championships. This money helps off set the cost of the conference hosting the championships in Buffalo. 

The meet continues Friday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
