POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Oswego State volleyball team dropped a non-conference match in straight sets at Clarkson on Tuesday night. Scores for the match were 10-25, 13-25, 12-25 and the team falls to 7-10 on the season while Clarkson improves to 9-6.
Defense was the name of the game on the night as the Lakers were out-blocked eight to three and out-dug 54-38 by the hosts.
Leading the way on offense was freshman
Melissa Lussier with five kills. Sophomore
Laura Finn added four and sophomore
Lauren Fie chipped in three. On defense, senior
Rina Qelaj dug up eight Clarkson attacks and junior
Alison Sullivan blocked four.
The team is back in action on Friday when the host the Bears of Potsdam at 5 p.m. in league action at Ziel Gymnasium.
