"We grinded out a tough and very important win against Oswego that locked us into the tournament, which given the parity of the SUNYAC this year cannot be taken for granted," said head coach Matt Giufre. "Fredonia outplayed us in every aspect of the game. We need to find a way to be more consistent physically and mentally if we want to stretch our season out for as long as possible."

The Hawks finished up SUNYAC at 6-3 overall and secured a fourth overall seed in the SUNYAC tournament. SUNY New Paltz will host SUNY Oneonta on Halloween night in the first round of SUNYAC's.
