Women's Basketball Closes Out 2018 Slate

Three Pioneers finished in double figures as Alfred State fell 76-58 at Fredonia as they closed out the 2018 portion of their schedule.

Alfred State took an early 3-0 lead but it was the only lead they would hold. Fredonia scored the next five and held a 18-13 lead after the 1st quarter. The Blue Devils added to their lead with a big 2nd quarter and led 38-21. The Pioneers couldn't mount a comeback and were only outscored 38-37 in the 2nd half.

Skylar Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) led three Pioneers in double figures with 16 points. Rayanna Anderson (Wellsville) finished with 15 and Kelsey Shaulis (Ovid/South Seneca) added 12.

Jenna Einink led Fredonia (3-3 and winners of three straight) with 13 points Anna Chiacchia finished with 12. 12 different Blue Devils scored and as a team they out-rebounded the Pioneers 59-35.

The Pioneers return to action in a little under a month when they travel to Pitt Bradford on January 2nd for a 2 p.m. contest.
