Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Brockport Falls to No. 6 TCNJ on the Road, 16-0

EWING, N.J. – The College at Brockport women's lacrosse team fell to No. 6 The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) on the road Saturday afternoon by a final score of 16-0. The Golden Eagles drop to 0-4 on the 2018 season, where the Lions move to 6-1.

Brockport fell early on in the contest and could not recover, as they suffered a 4-0 deficit over the first 10 minutes of action. The Golden Eagles fought hard, but the Lions swarming defense proved to be too much and could not produce any offense. The Green and Gold picked up the pace late in the first half with a pair of shots coming from Samantha Dooling and Heather Conklin, but neither were successful to keep Brockport off the scoresheet heading into halftime.

The Golden Eagles came out stumbling in the second half, as TCNJ netted back-to-back goals extending their lead to 12-0. Hannah Cullen ripped off two shots midway through the half with one being on a free-position, but could not find the back of the net. The Green and Gold fought hard throughout the game, but the TCNJ defense countered any offensive threat as they lost by the eventual score.

Sarah Brown stood strong in the net for Brockport, playing all 60 minutes and racking up 14 saves.

The Golden Eagles stay on the road as they face Montclair State tomorrow, Sunday March 25, with the game set to start at 12 p.m.
