The Red Dragons were down 22-20 in the second after a Silberer kill, but Skidmore scored three of the last four points, two on Katy Ehnstrom kills.

Cortland dominated the third set, using a 13-1 run to turn a 6-6 tie into a 19-7 lead. The Red Dragons finished the set with 15 kills and just one error in 28 attempts (.500). Trailing 24-21 in the fourth, Cortland fought off three Skidmore match points on a kill by Moran and two from Silberer, but Canfield's kill put Skidmore back on top and a Hutchins kill ended the match.
