Oneonta, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State women's tennis team traveled to Oneonta for a non-conference match this afternoon and fell, 9-0. The Rams dropped to 1-3 on the season, while the Red Dragons improved to a perfect 4-0.
At first doubles, FSC's Anastasia Hoffman (Massapequa, N.Y.) and Shari Jackson (Copiague, N.Y.) were defeated 8-4 by Maxie Karen (New York, N.Y.) and Julia Holterman (Staten Island, N.Y.). In the #2 slot, Rosa Lettieri (West Islip, N.Y.) and Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) fell 8-5 to Oneonta's Sophia Schutte (Great Neck, N.Y.) and Brianna Shaw (Staten Island, N.Y.), while Katherine Del Valle (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Natasha Henderson (Patchogue, N.Y.) lost 8-3 in the third position.
In singles competition, Hoffman (4-6, 5-7), Lettieri (1-6, 2-6), Collings (1-6, 0-6), Jackson (0-6, 0-6), Mia Murrell (Shirley, N.Y.) (1-6, 2-6) and Susana Pariona (Farmingdale, N.Y.) (0-6, 2-6) dropped their matches in the first through sixth positions, respectively.
