The Blue Devils had a 17-14 advantage in shot and a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
"It was tough," Fredonia Head Coach
P.J. Gondek said, "for some of our less experienced players early on today. The magnitude of a SUNYAC away game can be a lot to handle. We came up with a heck of a second half but just fell short. Hopefully, we learn quickly as we will need a special effort to beat Geneseo away tomorrow."
Game time Saturday in Geneseo is 1 p.m.
