Softball drops twin bill against Oswego

BUFFALO, N.Y.— Buffalo State rallied twice but stranded the tying run three times, dropping both halves of a home SUNYAC doubleheader against Oswego on Senior Day, falling 7-3 and 3-2. The Bengals earned a spot in the SUNYAC postseason tournament via a New Paltz loss to Potsdam earlier in the day.

  • Julia Blujus (Amherst/Sacred Heart) paced the Bengals' offense in the earlier game, going 3 for 5 from the plate with an RBI and two runs scored.

  • Cassie O'Hern (Augusta, NJ/High Point) and Hannah Dunlap (Batavia/Oakfield-Alabama) each tallied a run scored.
  • Silva, Szymkowiak and Emily Frajdofer (Cheektowaga/JFK) all added hits for the Bengals.
