PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.- The Plattsburgh State tennis team is now 4-4 in the season after beating Oswego State 5-4 Saturday afternoon at Memorial Tennis Courts.
Prior to the start of the match, the Cardinals honored their three seniors,
Shari Forman (Manhasset, N.Y. / Wellington C. Mepham),
Katie Kratovil ( Longmeadow, Mass. / Longmeadow) and
Ashley Wilson ( Little Neck, N.Y. / St. Mary's).
Erin Wiggins (Manlius, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius Senior) and
Nadine Ciardulli (Massapequa, N.Y. / Plainedge High) won their doubles set 8-5 to give Plattsburgh State their first point.
Ciardulli also won her singles matches 6-4, 6-4 to pick up another point for the Cardinals.
Kelci Henn (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) won her singles in three, winning the first 6-2, lost the second 1-6 and came back to win her third 6-3 to pick up a point.
Forman won her singles 6-1 and 6-2 and
Sierra Barrett (Beekmantown, N.Y./Beekmantown) won her singles match off a 6-2 victory.
Plattsburgh State will play Lyndon State College on Sunday at 12 p.m.
