FREDONIA, N.Y. -- The Fredonia women's tennis team won all nine matches on Tuesday to improve to 4-1 this season.
Chloe Karnisky was the only Devil to win every game, sweeping her opponent at No. 4 singles, 6-0 and 6-0.
Head coach
Greg Catalano continues to see his team improve, noting it was their best effort of the year. "All the ladies brought their A game," said Catalano. Going back to last season, the team has gone 14-4 in its last 18 matches.
Anna Chiacchia won at No. 1 singles, 6-3 and 6-1.
Olivia Miller took No. 2 singles at 6-4 and 6-0.
Sarah Bunk was 6-1 in both sets at No. 3 singles.
Adriana Speach and
Mallory Mecca also won in straight sets -- Speach winning 6-4 and 6-1, while Mecca narrowly completed the sweep 7-5 and 7-6.
Chiacchia and Miller dominated No. 1 doubles winning 8-2. Bunk and Speach swept their opponents, 8-0.
Avril King and Mecca combined for an 8-3 victory.
