Women's Tennis: Scots Beat SUNY- Geneseo 6-3

Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C.- The Macalester women's tennis beat SUNY- Geneseo today 6-3.

No. 1 singles sophomore Laurel Hickey (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) won 6-4, 7-5 and No. 2 sophomore Natali Sorajja (Rochester, Minn./Mayo) beat her opponent 6-2, 6-3.

Junior Claire Buehler (Awty International School) followed with a 6-4, 6-1 win and sophomore Emma Baker ( Bentonville, Ark./Bentonville) played to a 6-1,6-1 victory. Finally, junior Camilla Bendetti (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr School) won 6-2, 7-5.

In doubles Sorajja and Baker combined to win 8-2 and Buehler and Bendetti teamed up to win 8-5.

Macalester returns to play Friday, Mar. 22, against Messiah College in Hilton Head, S.C.
