FREDONIA, N.Y. -- Two second-period goals carried SUNY Canton to a 4-3 men's hockey win Friday over Fredonia State.
Jesse Farabee netted a power-play goal to break a 2-2 tie. Brendan McCormack scored just over one minute later to push the Roos to a two-goal advantage.
Charlie Manley,
Victor Tracy, and
Tommy Martyn had the Fredonia State goals.
Dalton Jerzak and
Ryan Pascarella split time in goal for the Blue Devils, who fell to 2-8-4 overall.
Martyn earned the No. 2 star and the Fredonia State Booster Club Player of the Game.
Austin Washkurak made 31 for the Roos, who improved to 9-3-2. They are ranked 16th nationally.
The teams meet again Saturday at 4 p.m.
