BUFFALO, N.Y.— Buffalo State dominated the bulk of play, but was unable to secure a victory, playing to a 1-1 draw against Fredonia in a SUNYAC game today at Coyer Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- August Finn (High Falls/Rondout Valley) scored his third goal of the season in the 56th minute to open the scoring, finishing a rebound off a shot by Ali Shawish (Lackawanna/Lackawanna).
- A defensive lapse by the Bengals less than two minutes later yielded a clear 2-on-1 breakaway and Fredonia finished to even the score at 1-1.
- Neither team would score the rest of the way as the Bengals finished with a 24-8 advantage in shots, including 6-2 in the overtime periods.
- Andreas Queen (Stone Ridge/Rondout Valley) finished with four saves, including a key stop in the second overtime to preserve the tie.
FOR THE FOES
- Ryan Ross scored his fourth goal of the season for Fredonia, and Ty Bentham made nine saves in goal.
NOTEWORTHY
- Buffalo State and Fredonia earned one point each in the season-long, all-sports "Battle by the Lake" competition.
