BUFFALO, N.Y. – Nationally No. 24-ranked Geneseo held the host Bengals scoreless in the first half and tallied 16-unanswered goals en route to a 16-4 victory over Buffalo State in SUNYAC action this afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) scored twice to pace the Bengals' offense.
- Hannah Nagowski (Lancaster/Lancaster) and Mary Musialowski (Lancaster/Sacred Heart) also scored for Buffalo State.
- Jackie Dufresne (Lake View/Frontier) and Kendall Skuse (Churchville/Churchville-Chili) added an assist each.
- Geneseo opened the scoring just 31 seconds into the contest, and never looked back as the Knights scored 11 first-half goals and the first five goals of the second half to take a commanding 16-0 lead.
- Buffalo State scored the final four goals in an 11 minute span, but it was not enough as Geneseo claimed the victory.
- Janae Nelson (Elmont/Elmont Memorial) finished with 14 saves in 60 minutes of action in net for the Bengals.
- Geneseo held a 30-8 shots on goal advantage while causing 23 Bengal turnovers.

- Four players finished with four points for the Knights, including Megan Henderson who finished with a game-high four goals.
