OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team blanked Brockport, 1-0, on Saturday. With the victory, the Lakers improve to 5-3 on the season and are undefeated with a 2-0 record in conference play, while the Golden Eagles fall to 2-10 overall and remain winless with a 0-4 record in SUNYAC play.
The lone goal of the game was scored by Pawling native
Katie Reynolds. At 37:37, the junior deflected a pass from
Lacey Woite from across the net into the goal. The goal was the forward's seventh of the year, a team-high. Reynolds notched five shots during the game, with four of the five on-goal. Teammate
Monica Harvey contributed five shots as well, with three on-goal.
Goalie
Sarita Charap did not allow a single goal in her first shutout of the season. The senior made six saves during the game.
Oswego will be back in action on Wednesday when it hosts SUNYAC foe Cortland at 4 p.m. at Laker Turf Stadium.
