ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Buffalo State mounted an epic rally to claim a five-set victory over Rowan, but could not carry the momentum into a straight-sets loss against the University of Rochester to close out the season today at the NY Region Invitational.

- Rowan appeared poised to roll past Buffalo State in today's opening match, winning the first two sets, 25-19 and 25-15.
- Buffalo State roared back, however, ripping off three-straight wins, 25-21, 25-19 and 15-11.
- Eimile O'Brien (Marietta/Marcellus) pounded out 17 kills with just three errors and added four blocks and three aces.
- Lauren Hansen (Blue Point/Bayport Blue Point) added 16 kills and matched a team-high with 19 digs.
- Tyler Reis (Meridianville, AL/Hazel Green) also had 19 digs to go with 41 assists.

- Buffalo State appeared to run out of gas in the late match as the Yellowjackets claimed the win, 25-13, 25-20 and 25-16.
- Hansen had a team-high nine kills, while Bryanna Fisher (Brooklyn/Midwood) added six kills and two blocks.
- Reis had 25 assists, and Brittney Valentine (Marietta/Marcellus) chipped in 10 digs.
