Abby Price (Naples, N.Y.) scored early in the fourth minute and Fredonia held on the the narrow margin for a 1-0 SUNYAC women's soccer home win Friday over the Brockport Golden Eagles.

Aleeya Clemons (Olean, N.Y.) past Brockport goalkeeper Kimberly Lubanski just 3:11 into the match, the first conference competition of the year for either team. It was the third goal of the season for Price.

Marissa Quimby (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) made four saves to record her second shutout of the week and her third of the season. She was the beneficiary of a strong defensive effort by her teammates.
"We took the play wide, scored early and then played defense, defense, defense," Fredonia Head Coach
Chris Case said.
The Blue Devils improved to 4-4-0 overall heading into their meeting against nationally ranked Geneseo at 1 p.m. Saturday at University Stadium.
Brockport fell to 5-2-1 overall and 0-1-0- in the SUNYAC.
The first 200 Fredonia students in attendance Saturday will receive a ticket for a burrito from Moe's Southwest Grill.
