OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell to No. 20 William Smith 5-1 on Tuesday, ending the Lakers' four-game win streak. With the loss, the Lakers move to 4-3 on the season while the Herons improve to 9-2.
At the 40 minute mark, the Lakers scored their lone goal. Junior
Katie Reynolds collected the rebound from
Lacey Woite and stuffed a shot past the Heron goalie. The goal was Reynolds' team-leading seventh goal of the season.
Woite, who was coming off of a two-goal game against Morrisville, led the Lakers with two shots. Both of her shots were on-goal.

Sarita Charap played the entire game in the net for the Lakers. The senior made 13 saves and classmate
Brianna Ciganek notched two defensive saves.
Oswego will travel to Brockport on Saturday, Oct. 7 for its second conference matchup of the season.
