OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell to Oneonta, 5-1, on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Lakers move to 5-8 on the season and 2-4 in conference play, while Oneonta improves to 13-3 overall and 5-1 in SUNYAC competitions.
Katie Reynolds, who was coming off of a four-point game against New Paltz the day before, continued to shine for the Lakers. In the 41
st minute, the junior shot the ball into the Red Dragons' empty net to put the Lakers on the scoreboard. Reynolds' three shots, all of which were on-goal, were a team-high. Senior
Monica Harvey also contributed two shots.
Goalie
Sarita Charap notched 16 saves against the Red Dragons. Those saves bring her total to 149 so far this season.
Oswego returns to action at 5 p.m. on Tuesday when it faces St. John Fisher for its final game of the regular season.
