ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College men's swimming and diving team dominated Cortland on Saturday afternoon, beating the Red Dragons 218.00-80.00.

The Bombers opened up the day with a win in the 400 medley relay. The team of
Spencer Brownewell,
Andrew Mikhailichenko,
Matt Crysler and
Stanley Zaneski finished with a time of 3:36.16. IC also claimed second place as the team of
Carter Matteson, Timothy Hector,
Christian Stangeby and
Daniel Meyers raced to a time of 3:47.64.

First-year
Max Bridges was the top IC finisher in the 1,000 freestyle, taking second place with a time of 10:31.34. Fellow first-year
Holden Shatouhy finished third in 10:32.18 while Pat Daly took fourth with a time of 10:35.72.

Zaneski, a junior, was victorious in the 200 freestyle, racing to a time of 1:47.60. Nick Bonneabeau finished in fourth with a time of 1:54.35 while Reilly Kleinhen rounded out the top five with a time of 1:54.93.

Brownewell won his first individual race of the day in the 100 backstroke, racing to a time of 53.65.
Dylan Haraden finished in third with a time of 57.12.

The Bombers claimed the top spot in the 100 breaststroke as Mikhailichenko took first in 1:00.61.
Augie Carlozzi finished in fourth with a time of 1:05.83 while Matteson claimed fifth in 1:07.05.

Senior
Nate Bartalo won the 200 butterfly for IC, racing to a time of 1:57.16. Crysler came in second place with a time of 2:02.52 while Daly raced to a time of 2:03.66 for third place.

Zaneski once again claimed victory, winning the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.44.
Anthony Porto came in third with a time of 23.08 while
Liam Maginnis finished fourth with a time of 23.14.

Ithaca swept the top three spots in the 100 freestyle as Bartalo won his second race of the day with a time of 48.75. Meyers finished second in 50.00 while Hector took third in 50.57.

Matteson was the successful Bomber in the 200 backstroke, winning the field with a time of 2:04.41. Haraden then claimed second with a time of 2:05.18.

Mikhailichenko continued his successful day with a win in the 200 breaststroke, claiming victory in 2:13.56. Porto finished in second with a time of 2:17.11 while Carlozzi took fourth in 2:21.85.

Sheehan was the top Ithaca finisher in the 500 freestyle, taking second in 5:07.66. Bonnabeau finished third with a time of 5:09.12 while Bridges raced to a time of 5:10.38 for fourth. Cortland's Hunter Bernhardt won by nearly nine seconds with a time of 4:58.76.

Crysler raced to a time of 54.45 to win the 100 butterfly, edging Cortland's second-place Billy Donlevy who finished in 54.99. Stangeby took third with a time of 57.31 while
Julian Iacono finished fourth in 57.37.

Brownewell continued the trend of multiple wins, taking the top spot in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.77. Mikhailichenko was not far behind in second, racing to a time of 2:02.57. Hector finished in 2:05.96 for fourth place.

Ithaca wrapped up the winning half of the day with first and second place finishes in the 200 freestyle relay.

The team of Bartalo, Maginnis, Crysler and Zaneski claimed the top spot with a time of 1:29.73 while Porto, Sheehan, Haraden and Meyers finished second after racing to a time of 1:31.29.

In diving action, first-year
Ethan Godfrey continued his successful campaign with a sweep of the boards.
Â
Godfrey claimed the 3-meter dive with a score of 285.15. Junior
Justin Moczynski took second with 254.60 points while
Benjamin Pesco finished in third with a score of 223.55.

In the 1-meter, Godfrey racked up 291.55 points to take first place while Moczysnki finished in second with a score of 276.05.
Brian Coburn finished in fourth with 207.45 points.

The Bombers are back in action next weekend against Le Moyne. The divers will open the action on Friday night at home against the Dolphins at 6 p.m. The swimming portion of the meet will take place at Le Moyne on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.
