OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State women's tennis team fell to SUNYAC rival Brockport with a score of 7-2 on Monday. With the loss, the Lakers fall to 2-3 while the Golden Eagles move to 2-7.
In singles, the Lakers scored a point when
Jill Travis defeated Zoe Sharp. Travis narrowly beat Sharp 7-6 in the first set, but later won the 7-1 tiebreaker and defeated her 6-0 in set two to get the point.
The Lakers also scored a point in doubles. This time, it was Travis and
Alli Ullrich. The pair was able to defeat their opponents 8-4 for Oswego's other point.
On Wednesday, the Lakers will be back in action when they face Alfred at 3 p.m.
