Women’s Basketball cruises past Cazenovia in Abgott finale, 82-50

BUFFALO, N.Y.— Liv LeBaron (Horseheads/Corning Painted Post) recorded her second double-double of the early season with 26 points and 13 rebounds while Grace Licata (Williamsville/Williamsville South) scored a career-high 23 points as Buffalo State raced past Cazenovia in today's Betty Abgott Invitational consolation game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • LeBaron paced the Bengals' offense while chipping in six steals and five assists.
  • Licata finished 9 of 13 shooting from the floor, including 5 of 7 from distance.
  • Katie Villarini (Hamburg/Hamburg) added nine points, four rebounds, three steals and three assists.
  • Buffalo State lead from the opening tip, scoring 13 of the first 16 points to take an 18-5 lead after 10 minutes of play.
  • The Bengals continued their strong defense start to the contest in the second frame by holding the Wildcats to 17 percent shooting as Buffalo State held a 36-14 lead at halftime.
