NEW PALTZ, N.Y.—Buffalo State evened the score in the second half, but host New Paltz responded with a pair of quick strikes to earn a 3-1 victory today to close out the Bengals' season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Paltz broke through first in an evenly played opening half, taking a 1-0 lead in the 41st minute.
- Buffalo State knotted the score at 1-1 in the 72nd minute when senior Victoria Colotti (New Windsor/Newburgh Free) headed a Paige Bly (Kings Park/Kings Park) corner kick to the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season in her final game as a Bengal.
- The Hawks responded just under three minutes later, however, and then added an insurance marker less than three minutes after that to seal the victory.
- Buffalo State finished with a 17-13 advantage in shots, including 11-5 in the second half.
- Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) made four saves in the loss for Buffalo State.
