CANTON, N.Y.- The Plattsburgh State women's soccer team shutout SUNY Canton 3-0 Tuesday night to finish their regular season with another win under their belt and improve their overall record to 12-4-2.
The Cardinals dominated the first half with a sea of red flooding Cantons half of the field. Plattsburgh State recorded 11 shots, five on net including

The Cardinals defense held the Kangaroos to zero shots in the first half proving the strength and power of the back line.
The sea of red continued to flood through Canton in the second half. The Cardinals scored in the 47
th minute when Gagen ran down a defender to get the long ball on the right side and put it in over the keeper right under the cross bar.

Sarah Haight (East Meredith, N.Y. / Charlotte Valley) and Bonner each had two shots one on goal and Gagen had one shot on goal.
Nichole Gibson (Arkport, N.Y. / Arkport) played the first half and did not have to make a save thanks to the Cardinal defense holding off the Kangaroos from heading into their territory.
Taylor Adams (Schenectady, N.Y. / Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons) made two saves in the second half to split the shutout with Gibson and help Plattsburgh State get the win.
The Cardinals are home on Wednesday, Nov. 1 to host the SUNYAC semifinals at 1 p.m. Their opponent will be determined on Saturday after round one of playoffs.
