CORTLAND, N.Y.— Buffalo State was unable to capitalize on an early lead for the second-consecutive day, as host Cortland rallied for a 2-1 victory today to keep the Bengals searching for their first SUNYAC win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first half saw limited chances for either side before Lindsay Mahoney (Port Jefferson/St. John the Baptist) gave Buffalo State the lead in the 32nd minute with her sixth goal of the season off an assist from Kyndal Hetzel (Hilton/Hilton).
- Cortland took control in the second half, however, outshooting Buffalo State 12-2 over the final 45 minutes and converted a pair of goals to rally for the win.
- The Red Dragons evened the score in the 60th minutes, and then netted the game-winner on a one-time shot from 15 yards in the 73rd minute.
- Cortland ended the game with a 14-5 advantage in shots and a 7-2 edge in penalty kicks.
- Taylor Carillo (Pine Bush/Pine Bush) tallied three saves in the defeat.
- Buffalo State was assessed five yellow cards in the contest.
