Men’s Basketball shoots past SUNY-Delhi, 92-79

BUFFALO, N.Y.— Mike Henry (Syracuse/West Genesee) and Sir.Quintin Campbell (Tonawanda/Kenmore East) each recorded a double-double as Buffalo State knocked off SUNY-Delhi, 92-79 in a non-conference matchup this evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Campbell recorded his third double-double of the season with 22 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
  • Henry chipped in 18 points to go along with 11 rebounds as he earned his fourth-straight double-double to start the season.
  • Sheldon Adams (Rochester/Bishop Kearney) scored a career-high 16 points and picked up three rebounds in the game.
  • J.C. Christopher (Bronx/Mott Haven Campus) and Bryan Harrell (Rochester/Early College) each added nine points and six points respectively.
  • Buffalo State opened the game on a 20-8 run and led wire-to-wire.
  • The Bengals extended the lead to 21 midway through the first half as Campbell knocked down a pair of free throws.  
  • A lay up from Henry gave Buffalo State a 49-35 lead at halftime.
  • Delhi chipped away in the second half and cut the lead to 11 with just over a minute remaining. The Bengals regrouped as Harrell knocked down a 3-pointer to put the game out of reach.
  • Buffalo State shot 54.0 percent from the floor and converted eight 3-pointers in the game.
  • The Broncos outshot the Bengals 31-6 in points off turnovers, but were outrebounded in the game.
 
FOR THE FOES
  • Jake Slobe led the Broncos with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Jordan Fragale and Damon Denteh each chipped in 10 points.
