NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State baseball team finished their series against New Paltz with two more losses on Saturday evening at Loren Campbell Field.
Plattsburgh State falls to 7-17 overall and 1-11 in the SUNYAC while New Paltz moves to 12-11 and 5-4 in the conference.
Junior
Patrick Bryant (Center Moriches, N.Y. / Center Moriches) went 9-for-13 in the series with seven RBIs and was 5-for-9 on the day with five RBIs.
GAME ONE: Plattsburgh State 2, New Paltz 4
With two outs in the top of the first inning P. Bryant singled to center field to plate senior
Joe Deland (Farmingville, N.Y. / Sachem East) to take a 1-0 lead.
New Paltz tied the game in the bottom of the first with a home run to right field.
A two-run double down the left field line in the bottom of the second gave the Hawks a 3-1 edge.
Sophomore
Alec Fauvell (Smithtown, N.Y. / Smithtown West) scored the Cardinals second run off a wild pitch in the top of the fifth.
New Paltz hit another homer in the bottom of the fifth for their fourth run.
The Hawks defense was able to hold off Plattsburgh State and they took the two-run win.
P. Bryant, Deland, junior
Jon Craft (Smithtown, N.Y. / Smithtown West) and sophomore
Kentaro Mori (Tokyo, Japan / Joto) all went 1-for-3 at the plate to record Plattsburgh States four hits.
P. Bryant pitched five innings and gave up six hits, four runs, walked one and struck out three.
Junior
PJ Weeks (Bayport, N.Y. / Bayport-Blue Point) pitched one inning and walked one.
GAME TWO: Plattsburgh State 10, New Paltz 17
New Paltz took a six-run lead after the bottom of the first off a two-run double, a two-run homer, a single and a sacrifice fly.
P. Bryant scored on a wild pitch for the Cardinals first run.
The Hawks recorded four more runs in the bottom of the second off a single, a double, a wild pitch and an error.
P. Bryant hit a two-run single in the top of the third to plate sophomore
Santino Ycaza (Mastic, N.Y. / Brentwood Sonderling) and Deland.
New Paltz hit another double in the bottom of the sixth to take an 11-3 advantage.
The Cardinals had a huge seventh inning scoring six runs to come within two runs of the lead.

Noah Clark (Toms River, N.J. / Toms River East) scored off an error.
Sophomore
Keller Kowalowski (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Beekmantown) scored off a sacrifice fly, Ycaza scored off a single by Deland, sophomore
Stephen Bryant (Center Moriches, N.Y. / Center Moriches) scored off a sacrifice bunt and Deland scored off a single from P. Bryant.
The Hawks had three more runs in the bottom of the seventh off a one-run double and a two-run double.
They added three more runs in the bottom of the eighth with another double and a two-run homer.
S. Bryant scored the Cardinals tenth run off a single from P. Bryant in the top of the ninth.
New Paltz's pitching staff was able to hold off Plattsburgh State and they took the seven-run win.

Ryan Whalen (Plattsburgh, N.Y. / Plattsburgh) pitched 1.1 innings and gave up eight hits, eight runs, walked one and struck out one.
