POTSDAM, N.Y. – The SUNY Potsdam swimming and diving teams hosted the North Country Invitational this weekend. The Clarkson University men's and women's team placed first with scores of 637 and 546, respectively. Both Saint Michael's College teams were second with a men's score of 460 and a women's score of 470. The Bears men finished third with a score of 293, while the women matched them with a score of 395. Genesee Community College was fourth with the men totaling 160 points and the women earning 85.

Samantha Coombs (Jamesville, N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) teamed up to take second in the 400 Medley Relay (4:14.75). Coombs was first in the 50 Free (25.40) and second in the 100 Free (54.90). Curtis placed second in 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:21.96. Pitz finished second in both the 100 Butterfly (1:04.85) and the 200 Butterfly (2:21.00). Zoe Gliganic (Stony Brook, N.Y./Ward Melville) won the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 167.10. Curtis, Medley, Hunter and Coombs won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:55.39. Curtis swam away with first place in the 100 Backstroke (1:02.91). Coombs won the 200 Free (2:00.92) and Gliganic claimed the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 181.35.Â
