ROCHESTER, N.Y.—
Sydney McIntosh (Buffalo/Kenmore West) finished 5 for 6 with a homerun, four RBIs and four runs scored as Buffalo State plated 17 runs on 25 hits en route to a sweep of host Nazareth in non-conference action by winning the first game 8-7 and cruising to a 9-1 win in the second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- McIntosh paced the Bengals' offense in today's opening game, going 3 for 3 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored.
- Taylor Benton (Niagara Falls/Niagara Wheatfield) finished 2 for 4 with a pair of RBIs and a runs scored, while Chelsea Davis (Lancaster/Lancaster) went 2 for 4 with two runs scored.
- Hannah Dunlap (Batavia/Oakfield-Alabama) also finished with multiple hits, going 2 for 3, with the game's only triple.
- Cassie O'Hern (Augusta, NJ/High Point) tallied two RBIs, while Julia Blujus (Amherst/Sacred Heart) and Oriana Castello (Pearl River/Nanuet) added a combined three runs scored.
- Castello earned the win on the mound for Buffalo State, giving up only three earned runs on 13 hits in six innings.

- The Golden Flyers battled back for the second-straight inning by scoring four runs on two hits and two Bengal errors to trim the score to 8-7.
- Nazareth threatened with a lead-off single in the bottom of the seventh, but failed to push across the game-tying run as Buffalo State held on for the win.

- Four Golden Flyers finished with at least three hits, led by Sarah Simmons who added three RBIs and a run scored.
- Gabriella Corasaniti was credited with the loss in the circle, giving up seven earned runs on 12 hits in seven innings of work.

- Four Bengals tallied multiple hits in the second game, led by McIntosh who finished 2 for 3 with two-run homerun in the top of the second.
- Davis went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and a run scored, while O'Hern and Dunlap also finished 2 for 3 with a combined two runs scored.
- Alyssa Nichy (Depew/Depew) went 1 for 2 with two RBIs and Blujus added a run scored and an RBI.
- Justine Silva (Baldwin Park, CA/Arroyo) went 1 for 2 with a run scored and an RBI.
- Richard picked up the win on the mound for the Bengals, giving up only one run on three hits in five innings of work.
- Buffalo State opened up the scoring with back-to-back doubles from Castello and Davis to take an early 1-0 lead.
- After stalling the Golden Flyers' offense in the bottom of the frame, the Bengals exploded with six runs on seven hits, including five-consecutive hits to open the inning, to extend their lead to 7-0.
- Nazareth pushed across a single run in the bottom of the fourth on a pair of singles.
- Buffalo State tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly by Nichy to extend its lead to 9-1.
- The Bengals closed the contest with a 1-2-3 bottom of the fifth to seal the win.
FOR THE FOES
- Marissa Tortora tallied two of the three combined hits for Nazareth to go along with the team's only RBI.
- Kylie Smith received the loss for the Golden Flyers, giving up nine runs on 13 hits in five innings of work.
NOTEWORTHY
- With a hit in each of today's games, Oriana Castello has now recorded at least one hit in 20-consecutive games.
