PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State tennis team fell to SUNY Cortland by a 5-2 margin on Saturday at Memorial Tennis Courts after playing Oneonta earlier in the day due to weather delays.
The Cardinals played tough in their first SUNYAC Pool Play playing back-to-back Red Dragons.
Due to weather some matches were left unfinished.
Doubles teams of
Kelci Henn (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) and
Sierra Barrett (Beekmantown, N.Y./Beekmantown) took a 9-7 decision and the duo of
Shari Forman (Manhasset, N.Y. / Wellington C. Mepham) and
Katie Kratovil (Longmeadow, Mass. / Longmeadow) battled for an 8-4 win.
The Cardinals are now 2-2 this season and are back home on Wednesday to play Saint Michaels at 4 p.m.
