OSWEGO, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell to New Paltz, 5-3, on Friday despite a late push led by
Katie Reynolds for the Lakers. With the loss, the Lakers move to 5-7 on the season and 2-3 in conference play, while the Hawks improve to 5-9 overall and 3-1 in SUNYAC games.
Oswego came alive in the second period, starting with a goal in the 49

Kathleen Little. There was a commotion in front of the New Paltz net, but Reynolds was able to feed the ball to Little through the chaos, and Little smacked it into the net for Oswego's first goal of the game.
Just over a minute later, the Lakers were at it again. This time, Reynolds fed the ball to
Monica Harvey for her second assist of the day, and Harvey slapped the ball hard into the back of the goal.
Reynolds' time to shine came in the 56
th minute. The Little-Reynolds combination helped the Lakers again, but this time it was Little who set the junior up for a goal. Reynolds' goal was her team-leading ninth goal of the season. Combined with the two assists, the Pawling native now leads the Lakers with 22 points this season.
Oswego will be back in action tomorrow at 1 p.m. when it hosts Oneonta for Senior Day.
