Pioneers Falls In Non-Conference Matchup

Buffalo, NY- Alfred State drops final match of the regular season to Buff State 3-0. The Pioneers drop to 5-9-2 and now they wait to see if they secured the final playoff spot in the AMCC tourney.

Kate Sproul and Sierra Schofield split time in goal and combined for nine saves. The Bengals controlled the possession as they outshot the Pioneers 20-7.

Both teams came out the gate aggressively, tallying multiple shots in the first five minutes. The Bengals got on the board first with a goal in the 21^st minute, then again in the 32^nd minute for the 2-0 lead.

The Pioneers would get a penalty shot in the 37^th minute, but Karlee Hargather could not find the net.

After taking a 2-0 lead into half, Buff State added one more goal in the second half to secure the win.
