BUFFALO, N.Y.—Buffalo State hosted Division II Gannon University in a relay meet to open the 2019-20 season today at Kissinger Pool with the visiting Knights prevailing 112-68 on the women's side and 117-83 in the men's meet.

  • Branden Rivers (Lockport/Lockport) was the highlight of the day for Buffalo State, posting the lone victory in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 169.10.
  • Buffalo State's men's 400-yard free relay of Cody Wittmeyer (Hamburg/Hamburg), Jon Pilat (Cheektowaga/West Seneca East), Shane Breen (Middle Village/Middle Village) and Drew Deren (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) also had a strong showing, touching second with at time of 3:24.83, just over four seconds off the winning pace.
