UTICA, N.Y. – The Plattsburgh State Women's Tennis team swept Utica College 9-0 on Sunday at the Utica College Tennis Courts.

Plattsburgh State improves to 5-2 overall while Utica College moves to 0-5.

The pairing of senior Kelci Henn (Mastic Beach, N.Y./William Floyd) and sophomore Nadine Ciardulli (Massapequa, N.Y. / Plainedge) won doubles one 8-2.

Both Cardinal duo's of junior Sierra Barrett (Beekmantown, N.Y./Beekmantown) and Rukshanna Abdeen and sophomore Sarah Sampson (Albany, N.Y. / Albany) and freshman Sarah Hoeffner(Montgomery, N.Y. / Valley Central) won their doubles 8-1.

Plattsburgh State took all six of the singles matches as well.

Henn won singles one 6-0, 6-1; Barrett took singles two 6-2, 6-3; Sampson won singles three 6-3, 6-4 and sophomore Tina Mitsoglou (Plattsburgh, N.Y./Plattsburgh) took singles four 6-3, 6-0.

Sophomore Erin Wiggins (Manlius, N.Y. / Fayetteville-Manlius Senior) and Hoeffner both won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0.

The Cardinals are home Friday to play State University of New York Athletics Conference foe Oswego at 3 p.m.
