ONEONTA, N.Y. – The Oswego State field hockey team fell 3-0 to Hartwick on the road on Tuesday evening. With the loss, the Lakers move to 5-6 this season while the Hawks improve to 9-5.
Goalie
Sarita Charap made 17 saves during the game, her second-highest total of the season and the fifth-highest of her career. The senior recorded her career-high of 24 saves on Oct. 22, 2014 against Cortland. With her 17 saves against Hartwick, Charap has notched 123 saves so far this season. Prior to the game, the Ocean City, N.J. native ranked fourth among SUNYAC goalkeepers for saves.
The Lakers combined for four shots against the Hawks, with
Lacey Woite taking two of those shots. Two of Oswego's shots were on-goal.
Next, the Lakers will return to conference action, hosting New Paltz at 4 p.m. at Laker Turf Stadium on Friday.
