Consistently ranked as one of the top public liberal arts colleges in the northeast by US News and World Report, The SUNY Geneseo Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreation reflects the institution's commitment to excellence by providing a high-level student-athlete experience for over 500 members of the department. Comprised of 20 NCAA Division III programs, including 12 offerings for women and eight for men, 18 teams qualified for postseason play during the 20-14-15 season, including a conference-best eight SUNYAC Championship squads. Geneseo was ranked 32nd in the final NACDA Director's Cup standings which measure the overall excellence of the 449 Division III athletic programs in the country, while also winning the SUNYAC Commissioner's Cup as the top team in the league for only the second time in the 19-year history of the award.
