Cremin and Eldred Named SUNYAC Baseball Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The SUNYAC recognizes Plattsburgh's Kyle Cremin as the league's Baseball Athlete of the Week and Brockport Zach Eldred as the Pitcher of the Week.

Cremin had a productive spring trip for Plattsburgh, highlighted by his exceptional performance against New Paltz that vaulted Plattsburgh to a series-opening win against New Paltz. After driving in six runs and reaching base six times in the first three games of the week, Cremin went on a tear against the Hawks, finishing 7-13 with 10 RBI and three homers over a three-game stretch. He saved his best performance for last in the series rubber match, homering twice, driving in seven runs, scoring three times, and even stealing a base. The junior first basemen also collected his 100th career hit in game two of the series, becoming the 20th member of the club in program history.

In a 12-0 win over SUNY Cobleskill, Eldred blanked the Tigers, pitching five scoreless innings with 9 strikeouts and just three hits earning his first win of the season. Eldred showed off his two-way ability, adding 3 hits and 2 RBIs as a hitter across three wins for Brockport on the week.
