Croteau and Reinoehl take Field Hockey Athlete of the Week honors

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected New Paltz senior Carly Croteau as the first Field Hockey Offensive Athlete of the Week for the 2018 season. Cortland senior Kailynne Reinoehl was picked as the Field Hockey Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Croteau led her team offensively in two dominating wins against Utica College and St. Lawrence University, totaling five goals and an assist for 11 points in two games.

Reinoehl helped lead the 16th-ranked Red Dragons (2-0) to the championship at the Smith College Caryl Newhof Tournament last weekend, posting a 2-0 record with a 0.50 GAA, 17 saves, a .944 save percentage and one shutout to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team. In a 5-0 win against Plymouth St. on Saturday, she turned aside three shots. Reinoehl then registered 14 saves as Cortland defeated host Smith, 4-1, in the title game on Sunday.
