Senior Spotlight: Heather Cummings

CORTLAND, N.Y. - This week's State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Field Hockey Senior Spotlight highlights Morrisville's Heather Cummings.

The business administration major hailing from Akron, N.Y. has totaled 15 goals and six assists in 52 games played in the last three seasons with the Mustangs. Last season Cummings appeared and started in all 18 games at forward/midfield. She recorded four goals and assisted two others for 10 total points -- two of her tallies were game winners. She was named a NFHCA All-Academic Squad member.

In 2018 Cummings appeared and started in all 17 games at midfield for the Mustangs. She recorded a team leading nine goals and three assists for 32 points -- two of her tallies were game winners, including the win over Lancaster Bible and Sage College. She earned NEAC All-Conference accolades.

In her freshman year, Cummings appeared in 17 games at forward for Morrisville, starting 15. She recorded two goals and an assist for five points -- one was a game winner. She was named to the NEAC All-Conference first team and was a NEAC Scholar-Athlete and NFHCA Academic Scholar.
