CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the winner for Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week. This week's winner was chosen out of nominations from across the conference.
Cortland's Justin Cooper continued to show his prowess on the court, leading the Red Dragons to a 3-0 week. Against three conference opponents, Cooper averaged 19.7 PPG and 9.7 rebounds per game and shot a superior 70.4% from the field. The junior has his best game against New Paltz when posted a double-double (22 points/11 rebounds) en route to an 89-73 win. Cortland now sits at the top of SUNYAC conference play with a 4-0 record (7-1 overall).
