CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Plattsburgh senior Brandon Johnson (Greenburgh, N.Y.) as the Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week.
Brandon Johnson averaged 18.3 points and five assists per game in the Plattsburgh men's basketball 3-0 week to start the season. Johnson recorded a career high of 28 points, had four assists and was 55.6 percent on the floor in their 105-95 season opening win over Clarkson on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the senior led the Cardinals with 18 points and four assists in their 83-75 home opener victory over Skidmore. Johnson scored nine points and had seven assists in the Cardinals 87-71 win over Canton.
