Oswego's Bacon and O'Donnell selected as Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week

CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected the top Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week. The winners were selected from nominations across the conference.

Kyle Bacon from Oswego is this week's Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week. On Saturday, Bacon led the Oswego State men's lacrosse team to its first win over St. John Fisher since 2005. In the 13-7 win, he scored almost half the team's goals. The sophomore put up a game-high five goals on six shots on-goal, and tacked on an assist to teammate Caleb Alford too. Bacon also capped off his impressive performance by picking up two ground balls for the Lakers as well.

Kevin O'Donnell from Oswego is this week's Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. O'Donnell's dominance in the net helped the Lakers to a 13-7 win over St. John Fisher on Saturday, Oswego's first against the Cardinals since 2005. After the first quarter, he only allowed three goals in the final 45 minutes of play. Making 11 saves, the goalie finished the day with a save percentage of 61.1 percent.
