CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected its Men's Lacrosse Athlete and Goalie of the Week. The winners were selected from nominations across the conference.
Terrence Haggerty from Cortland is this week's Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week. The junior recorded eight points on seven goals and one assist in a 1-1 week for the Red Dragons. In a 14-12 home win versus Clarkson on Wednesday, he netted three goals. He then followed up with four goals and one assist in a 16-16 double-overtime setback at fourth-ranked Tufts on Sunday. Haggerty currently leads Cortland with 28 points on a team-high 26 goals and two assists.
Zach Sheridan from Potsdam is this week's Men's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week. The junior matched his career-high with 18 career saves in a 9-5 win at Morrisville on Saturday. Sheridan leads the SUNYAC with a .718 save percentages.
