SUNYAC Selects PrestoSports Men's Lacrosse Weekly Awards
CORTLAND, N.Y. - The State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) has selected Plattsburgh's Dilon Smith (Lindhurst, N.Y.) as PrestoSports Men's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week and Potsdam's Ben Fuchs (Fort Lauderdale, F.L.) as PrestoSports Goalie of the Week.
 
Smith recorded 15 points on 10 goals and five assists in a 1-1 week for the Cardinals. He factored into five of the Cardinals' six goals in a loss to Clarkson University on Tuesday, scoring three goals and adding two assists while scooping up three ground balls. On Saturday, Smith tallied career highs in points (10), goals (7) and assists (3) in a 20-7 victory over New England College. His 10 points were the third most in a single game in program history, while his seven goals tied for the fourth most in a single game in program history. For the season, Smith leads the SUNYAC in points (18) while ranking among the conference leaders in goals (11, second) and assists (7, third) as well.
 
Fuchs made 28 saves and posted a .609 save percentage in two starts during a 2-0 week for the Bears. He made seven saves in during the first three quarters of a 13-12 win at SUNY Poly on Wednesday, despite getting the no-decision. He then made a career-high 21 stops in an 11-8 win over Utica at home on Saturday to pick up his first career-win.
